ONLY 27,191 USERS COMMIT 'QUIT FACEBOOK DAY'

I don't know how this will affect Plato Press but Devhub will have a Temporary Maintenance:

DevHub v3.0 is soft launching tomorrow morning (June 2nd) at 6am Pacific Time (PDT) with a ton of new features, a slick new editor, and elements of fun to help you build a better presence online! An email regarding the launch will be sent out to our loyal DevHeads, so you can get first lick at all the candy we've put into this version of DevHub (its been a year in the making) before anybody else!

To accommodate for this monumental launch, we will need to take the DevHub service offline from 12 midnight to 6am PT, June 2nd. We apologize for any inconvenience but are sure you will agree that the downtime is worth it!!!

Maybe the move would solve Plato Press' problems which I know is causing dissatisfaction among it's followers. Please bear with me and thank you very much for your loyalty to Plato Press.

It seems now that supporters of the 'Quit Facebook Day' was only a flashmob with only 27,191 "confirmed" quitters compared to the site's 400 million users.

(NEWSER) – 'Today is "Quit Facebook Day," and it you haven't heard of it—or have no plans to walk away from your 437 friends—you're not alone. PC Magazine reports that the effort to get the masses to abandon the social networking site looks like a bust. A recent survey of users found a slim 11% had even heard of the day, and only 22% of that group planned to go ahead and deactivate. As of today, the official site had just 27,191 "confirmed" quitters; less than peanuts, compared to the site's 400 million users.'

"Too many users are just too vested in the service to delete their account and dismantle a social network they have cultivated over time," said an exec behind the survey.' -PC Magazine

Website Names Gone Wrong

These are examples of why you should choose your domain or website name very carefully before buying it. Serious people might not find it funny.

'Choosing a web address can be a perilous task—especially if your company is named Pen Island. Before choosing a URL, think carefully about where other people might mentally insert spaces in a multiple-word name written without any, the Daily Telegraph reports. Here's a sampling of the funniest double entendres to arise from poorly chosen URLs:

Google Sued for Google Maps Accident

Another case that proves Google is 'accident-prone' as if following the footsteps of Toyota.

'Google Maps' walking directions told Lauren Rosenberg to walk along a busy Utah highway with no sidewalk, and so she did—and was hit by a car in the process. Now Rosenberg is suing Google for more than $100,000 because it didn't warn her that the route was not pedestrian friendly. Google Maps actually does provide a warning to this effect on its website, but the BlackBerry version, which Rosenberg used, does not, Mashable reports.'
